Eggs

Eggs

Eggs Don’t know if this is the right place to ask.
Does anyone know if it’s dangerous for e+ bc sufferers to eat loads of eggs? I have a duck who lays the most scrumtious eggs and I’m afraid I eat too many!
But they’re maybe full of ducky oestrogen.

Any thoughts?

Duck eggs Aren’t you lucky - home-grown organic food. However, duck eggs are high in cholesterol in their yolks, and also have a slight danger of carrying bacteria and must be well cooked, so you will need to look at your whole diet to assess whether you are eating too many. The general advice I’ve had is to restrict eggs to maximally one per day. I have never heard that eggs were an oestrogen concern.

Quote from an American article:

"Eating eggs may protect against breast cancer

Women who used to eat more eggs during their high school years may be less likely to develop breast cancer. New research from Harvard, published in Breast Cancer Research, found that higher levels of egg consumption during adolescence are associated with a decreased risk of breast cancer. "

So there you are! Enjoy.

Thankyou Well isn’t that an interesting thought. I’m going to do some more research now that you have found some proper information on the subject. Thankyou Phoebe xx
