Have no idea about this stuff , all l know is that l have stage 1 grade 3 lobular cancer with 1 lymph affected .lumpectomy was on 13th sept and results on the 2nd oct .genetic test on the 10th nov .radio and tomoxifen . And thats all i have been told ??? And obvs the bloomin mango in my armit !( that i have been ranting about ) Am totally lost

It is like learning another language when first diagnosed, but we all do get to grips with it.
ER+ means that the bc is stimulated to grow by the hormone oestrogen, this is the most common diagnosis & most of us have er+ bc, therefore hormone treatment will also be part of the plan.
Her 2+ means that the bc is stimulated to grow by a growth factor, there is a targeted treatment for this.

The final results only come through after surgery once the whole area that’s been removed has been examined & reported on, so it will all become a lot clearer.

Hi Sask,I had armpit seroma,they drained it a couple of times ,took strain off scar -it’s very uncomfortable .
May be worth asking if you can have that done before 2nd October ?
Mine filled up pretty quickly again but after second draining it settled down - where they not sympathetic ?
Sometimes takes 2 or 3 drainings -it will eventually settle on its own but very uncomfortable until it does .
