Ever get the feeling that you have been here before?

Just like a boomerang here I am again!  Just had the results of my mammogram 3 years down the line and have been diagnosed with a DCIS in my good (?) boob.  Just so NOT what I wanted!  The good news is that it is so small and non-invasive that they haven’t even measured it, and it is coming out on 12th of June.

In April 2011 I was diagnosed with a grade 3 HER2+ for which I had a mastectomy, chemo (3 FEC and 3 docetaxel), 18 doses of herceptin and 15 rads so who would have thought I would be here once more?

The BCN has told me though that, for me, this will be a whole different ball game after the ‘Full Monty’ treatment the first time around so let’s hope so!  I reckon my pair came from the reject shelf!

So, here I am, 3 years on and just 2 weeks after completing the London 2014 half-marathon MoonWalk about to wear my T-shirt once more!!!

Anyone else out there with the same experience please?

Hi Mazzalou,

Sorry to hear you’ve had another diagnosis, so I’ve put for you below the link to BCC’s publication for DCIS which I hope you find helpful.  I’m sure you fellow forum users will be along soon with some good, honest support.

Hiya

Not in the same boat but read your post and didn’t want to pass it by without saying something. I love your comment about the reject shelf!

I hope it all goes well and is indeed the ‘skinny’ version this time round.
