Exemastane short supply?

My pharmacy are really good (eg When there were HRT shortages, they never failed to fill my prescription.) However I’ve just changed from letrozole to exemastane and for the first time I went to pick up my prescription from them (the other was from the hospital pharmacy) and they told me they were struggling to get it. Fortunately I’d ordered in plenty of time so still had a few left over and when I went back two days later they’d sourced a packet for me. But it was stressful and I’m now wondering if I’ll have years of this and thinking how it’s going to be a right pain ordering in time for all the travel I do if it’s unreliable. Anyone else experiencing difficulties getting it?

I’m on anastrozole, not Letrozole, but I understand the feeling of anxiety in possibly not getting a prescription. We’re not supposed to order repeat prescriptions too early but I’m obsessed with ordering when I’ve got no less than 2 weeks’ supply left, just in case. It’s one more anxiety we can do without.

I was told by my pharmacy to order early and to put a note to the gp when I requested, saying pharmacy had requested I order early to enable them time to source if needed.

Like you say we just do not need anymore stress with this.
