Experiencing pains?

Hello,

Just wanted some advice off anyone

my mum has recently been diagnosed with BC on her right breast. Since the consultant did the needle biopsy she says its quite painful is this normal? been about 2 weeks now. But generally, she says she gets like stabbing/shooting pains which come and go. Last night she mentioned her other breast is getting these symptoms? What do I do? What can anyone do till surgery which is scheduled for 22nd oct. Would the mammagram have shown up anything on her other breast?

A very worried daughter here! I think I’ll give the nurse a ring tomorrow.

Hi,
After my biopsy i had a lot of shooting pains and burning sensation in my breast also alot of swelling, this is normal. I am sure the mammogram your mum had would of shown anything suspisious up on the other breast but it wouldnt hurt to give the breast nurse a ring, there very understanding and very helpfull.
I am 36 and have had bc for 6 weeks my tumour is aggressive, 7cm by 4cm, quite large. I am having 4 x A C chemothen 4 x Taxotere to try and shrink it before surgery.
I hope this may of eased your worries a little.

Thinking of you.
Good luck

Dear Heartbroken, I am very sorry about your news, I too have recently been diagnosed and had the needle biopsy done and it was painful, I also had shooting pains and burning sensation in that area too, I think it is a combination of the biopsy, the lump, and anxiety. Hope everything works out for your mum and you can get on with your lives.

much love
