Having gone through two surgeries within 8 days, I am suffering the above every day since I have come back from hospital. Has anyone suffered similarly. its been 3-4 weeks since i am back from hospital. i have had quite a few different tests to check whats causing the high pulse, but nothing could be found. Want to know how to overcome this…? pls help…
I think ur bound to be anxious after 2 ops in 8 days, that’s a lot for your body & your mind to cope with. I don’t know about the high pulse but again it could all be linked to feeling anxious. Why don’t u give the helpline a call tomorrow, they may have some idea, have u spoken to your BCN? x
I had 2 operation but not quite so close together. I was very tired all the time and anxious but oddly enough it was when I was given the news that I didn’t need chemo that I started to get palpitations and couldn’t get my breath. My GP said I was suffering from delayed shock. Where I had been so tense and then I sort of relaxed, the adrenlin started pumping round my body. I really don’t know how you can overcome it, other than try and concentrate on your breathing and slow it all down. I was given diazepam, took one for a good nights sleep, then shoved them in the cupboard. Don’t want to become reliant on them. I am sure it will pass eventually. Strange what shock does to our bodies.
Sending calming hugs
thanku sunshine and hgv for your kind words, its re-assuring to know someone else has gone through similar expeirence. yes i guess it is the shock of it all. was admitted in hospital when my pulse was high, overnight and they did many tests…but coulc not find a reason. my gp has prescribed me lorazepam which seems to help a lot, but anxiety comes back if i dont take it. dont want to get use to lorazepam so trying some breathing excercises for now, like deep breathing…best of luck to both of u and speedy recovery.
