I’m due to have my final chemo session in 2 weeks time woohoo!! Just wondering whether anybody knows if it’s worthwhile me starting to use growth stimulating products such as serums and vitamins right now or better to wait until after treatment has finished?
Also if anyone has any recommendations of great products that would be much appreciated too.
I was advised by my chemo team not to take any vitamins or anything additional during chemo as it can mess with absorption and effectiveness.
I’d highly recommend talking to your team before adding anything into the mix.
if you’re worried about losing your hair, can you try the cold cap? I couldn’t stand it myself, but some people can’t and some people can, it could be worth a try.
personally I didn’t- and was advised not to - add anything or try any supplements or additives until a month after chemo finished.
Hello, I did the Look Good Feel Better online workshop on hair, and it was useful. They recommended jojoba oil and rosemary essential oil to encourage hair growth, but only start to use once chemo is completely finished. There was also an eyelash serum recommended, but it was about £40 a bottle, although said to be effective. I’m done with being bald, and have the jojoba oil ready to go next week!
