Headcovers, Kelly’s recommendation does look much better, as it’s specifically for us ladies!

Thanks for this everyone - will go and have a look at the website Kelly recommended. On a bit of downer today and feeling very very emotional, but trying to stay calm and keep strong.

Ditto Dawn, chin up my lovely!
I had a horrid few days following my chemo on weds. Felt ok side effect wise really, just a bit nauseous, but was very down. Cried every day for no real reason!! Anyway, I’m feeling a million times better ‘mentally’ today, off to the golf course in a bit in fact!
So, take care and I really hope your mood lifts soon as like mine finally has,
Kelly

Hi Dawn
Hope you’re feeling less down today - it happens to us all my sweet - but you’ll find you will have better days than bad - I promise. I always found a good old cry made me feel better. As for your previous message about eyelashes and eyebrows, I started using false eyelashes when mine started thinning, but being as impatient as I am, and falsies being as fiddly as they are, I gave up in the end. I now have one eyelash left on each eye (LOL), so have just taken to wearing eyeshadow and eyeliner, and unless you get really close, you can’t tell (at least thats what my friends tell me!). Eyebrows have thinned too, but I’ve always been fair, so they don’t look much different to be honest.
I have to say though, losing my hair/eyelashes/brows devastated me at the time, but now I’m absoutely fine about it - takes a hell of a lot less to get ready each day, and I never have a bad hair day!
Take care, and hope you feel much better soon !
Love Julie xx
Ah thanks everyone for your messages - cheered me up no ends. Having a pretty good day today so far, no tears and been out with my little girl to the shops for a few things. Have ordered some of the false eyelashes from the website that Kelly recommended with the glue and remover and also a little hat for when/if can’t be bothered with the wig. See how I get on. Not so bothered about eyebrows, cos like you Julie, am quite fair, and can always draw eyebrows in anyway.
Hope everyone OK today and enjoying the sunshine.
Take care

Hi All
Glad you’re feeling a bit brighter today Dawn. One thought, I don’t know if this has been proven in any way but I have been using a cool eye mask (the plastic ones filled with gel you keep in the fridge) daily in the hope it may have the same effect as the cold cap…
Worth a try!

hi there
I lost my eyelashes and some of my eyebrows six months after chemo, they grew and fell out again (eve now after 8 months after last chemo), apparently this horrible chemo can be in our system for a long long time, i still also have a problem with my toe nails, ripped one out and lost half of another. My best tip for eyelashes is the eylure range, got mine from boots, the glue that comes with it lasts for ages, if you keep retouching with the glue they supply i can keep mine perm on for about three weeks and i think they cost about £5.95 but its well worth it when they last that long just keep touching it up with the glue every couple of days and you soon get used to putting them on straight.
The hair on my head is growing so so slowly, its like watching grass grow, funny how quick the horrible hairs on your legs grow back, there growing where i dont want them!!
Good luck
love Tracey
