My eyebrows hung in there during 4 FEC, but disappeared during the 4 TAX. I went to my local Maggie’s Centre. They do a “look good feel good” session and I was taught how to draw my eyebrows. I was also given lots of goodies and shown how to do lots of make up stuff - but the important thing for me was the eyebrows! I finished chemo 28th August and my eyebrows are just about back now - as are the eyelashes. I think all Maggie’s Centres do that session, so go for it. It’s certainly cheaper than tattooing!
Lost all my hair/eyebrows/eyelashes with my chemo 4 EPI, 8 CMF 3 weeks Rads, don’t worry they grow back in quite quickly, I am onto my 5th CMF and all my eyebrows are back, eyelashes are coming in very nicely too and a good sprouting of very… Grey hair on it’s way( sooo happy). Same as Sue, I went to LGFB day and it’s a great boost to your confidence, they teach you all kinds of makeup tricks and I never looked like I had no lashes etc, they are so lovely and you get lots of lovely freebies.
Clinique make a great eyebrow pencil that does not wear off easy, believe me I have tried them all!, this one actually stays on till you clean it off. I would not go down the semi permanent route, if it’s not good you would be stuck with it for a long time and it’s there everytime you look in the mirror… think Lesley Ash.
