"Fat Face" as a result of steroids

Hi,

Is there anything can be done to lessen the effect of this? I renewed my wedding vows recently (celebrating 25 years married) and I was so disappointed with the pictures as a result of my “Fat Face”.

I have no idea how to lessen the effects but im ‘bumping’ this in case someone else does. Hope u get some answers soon.

I’m sorry to say that the only real answer is to reduce/stop your steroids. It is probably worth discussing this with your oncologist - I doubt they would want to change anything but they might review the dose - or at least go through the pros and cons of steroids again with you so are making an informed decision about carrying on (or not).

i’m about to join the fat face gang for 3 months, really not looking forward to it
i don’t think there’s anything we can do except grin & bear it - the ones i’m taking give you acne too, so i hope the grin is visible through the fatness & spots!

This is not an ideal answer - but do what royalty and the stars do - photoshop out the excess flesh from the photos - it will make you feel better.

I did it for myself on some of my daughters wedding photos.
As with a silver wedding, couldn`t alter the date so had to alter the photos!

Thanks folks. I didn’t really think there would be anything that could be done but just thought I would ask anyway. I’ve had the photographs printed as they were as most of the people I would show them too can see thesie of my face. I just won’t be putting one up in the living-room.

Yup I have a fat face and have been told by a reliable source (???) it will go back to normal soon. I look like a hamster.
