You never know when your nasal hair is coming back, but I am now 4 months post chemo and at last am not constantly dribbling from my nose (it was bad) and am now investigating all my clothes for balled up tissues!
So Iām two weeks since my last radiotherapy and Ive got a really bad reaction along my collar bone. I was given Zerobase at my treatment but itās not really helping. Any recommendations to remove the irritation and itching? Whatās everyone else using?
My recovery from my complicated surgery is challenging. I was just getting some energy back last week when I came down with a flu type virus. Iāve been checked out at GPās and she says itās not an infection. Iām so weak and shivery. It started last Friday so hopefully it will improve soon. But not fun on top of ME and pain from my wound not being healed yet.
Hope youāre all doing well
On a positive note my hair is growing back!
Hi @vizsla_mum - sorry to hear its very itchy. I start radiotherapy next week so Iām afraid I canāt give any advice. I hope it settles down soon. ![]()
Hi @sarahcatlover - you did have a major operation, way bigger than mine so its going to take time, and with your ME recovery is bound to be harder, but youāve got this
. Your hair looks fab, itās growing so well, mine is growing very very slowly and itās 10 weeks on Friday since my last chemo.
there are wispy bits here and thereā![]()
Good Morning
Iām 5 weeks post chemo now & waiting until week 6 to start tamoxifen but have already started having hot flashes, this may sound weird but I feel a bit odd - not being in a constant cycle of appointments but also I donāt feel āat the endā ⦠my husband & family want to mark the āendā but I just donāt feel that thereās that clear a line - maybe when my hair is back, maybe when I have my next check up???
talking of hair, I have an appointment with a local hairdresser today via the charity Hair Reborn - you can get up to 3 free appointments to help on the regrowth journey. I have a patchy mess left after cold capping so definitely need some help
Hope everyone is doing ok xx
@daisyd thanks so much for the hairdresser tip. Iāve just contacted Hair Reborn, hopefully I can get what youāre getting too ![]()

Hi @daisyd - totally get where you are coming from āfeeling oddā this week is the first week this year where I have no hospital appointments. In terms of celebrating the end, I too am not sure when this is, maybe when your hair is back and you feel like āyouā again? There was no ringing a bell at my hospital after chemo finished so I didnāt feel any sense of conclusion then, I am thinking after my radiotherapy is completed, but then I have a further 12 months of 3 weekly herceptin injections ⦠so maybe itās just when we feel okay in ourselves, look in the mirror and say āwelcome back, Iāve missed youā ![]()
