hi, I’ve just had my third FEC and have some peripheral neuropathy with sore tingly feet and hands and a bit of fingertip and toe tip numbness. The chemo nurse said that I may not be able to tolerate T - do any of you have any experience of this? I’m worried about long term effects but also of not finishing chemo. Thanks.
My breast cancer nurse and chemo nurses have told me to wear close fitting gloves and warm socks to reduce the chances of peripheral neuropathy, particularly because I am a seamstress, knitter, crocheter and embroiderer. Sense of touch and digital dwxterity are important to me.
Thanks for your reply. I hope that works for you. I do find cold makes it worse and am looking out my gloves for the morning school run - and it’s only the start of September…what a great summer it has been. X
As soon as the nurse told me I started knitting a hat and mittens and getting thick socks. The next thing is to make head coverings.
