Hi Angel
I know of people having just 4 sessions…all had mo lymph involvement and a small non agressive cancer. If this sounds like yours it may be why…all chemo is calculated for each person with dosage depending on height and weight
I know research is now looking at shortening lengths of chemo sessions and herceptin.
Hope that makes some sense
xx Donna
Hi, I had my first chemo on 22nd may, I have got to have 6 sessions (every 3 weeks), then 4 weeks of radiotherapy followed by 12 months of herceptin. Mine had spread to my lymph nodes (which was found out during tissue removed during my mastectomy) so 3 weeks after that op I had another one to remove more nodes - fortunately these were clear. so I guess it could be lymph node related in your case x
Hi
I had surgery 4 weeks ago and am now waiting for chemo to start. I am having FEC T with herceptin. I thought that herceptin was given when tamoxefin is no use to hormone negative cancer. I think I must be confused as I have seen some people say that they are having FEC T. herceptin and tamoxefin. Can anybody explain please?
