Hi @mdh so sorry you are struggling. Being so worried you can’t leave the house is terrible and it isn’t going to do you any good in the long run. Although its not all bad whilst the weather is so bad haha
I just read that your breast cancer was found when they ct scanned you for something else is that right? I know that doesnt feel lucky right now but wow! You found a lump and now you know it’s there you can have it taken care of! Many of us would give anything to have found our lumps earlier. Keep in mind how treatable breast cancer is now.
Maybe speak to your GP about how you feel. Or give your breast care team a call and I’m sure they will have lots of advice and they will be able to point you in the direction of getting a little bit of help and support through this.
Sending you big hugs

@mdh I’m so sorry to read you post, as you are feeling so low at the moment.

Was wondering if you have any support groups in your area, I think this may help as everyone is struggling together, and able to understand how you feeling maybe your cancer team at your hospital will be able to help with pointing you in the right direction.

Also, if you feel able a short walk around the block for a bit of fresh air may help. One day at a time at the moment.

I do wish you well, remember we are all here for you.

With the biggest hugs Tili :rainbow::folded_hands::rainbow::folded_hands:

Thank you :folded_hands:t2:

I think I worry because the actually found it 2 years previous but didn’t report on it so I feel extremely lucky that it hadn’t spread in that time. The whole thing just filled me with worry! And doubt

Thank you so much :folded_hands:t2:

Oh wow! No wonder you were worried. No spread though that’s amazing. I had 3 lymphnodes taken out and they said all 3 were clear and I was unbelievably greatful. Everytime I look at my boob now I thank it for keeping it all contained haha

Hi mdh,

Thanks for posting.

It sounds like a difficult time for you following your diagnosis of breast cancer.

Getting a diagnosis is hard and it is not unusual to have days when you feel overwhelmed.

We often hear from people who, like you, experience a range of emotions with a diagnosis of breast cancer. Its not clear what support you have at this difficult time but as @Tili and @foxgem mentioned we would suggest that you speak to your treatment team or GP about how you are feeling.

They will know what support is available locally and may suggest a referral for talking therapy, such as counselling

Lots of people feel down and alone after a diagnosis of breast cancer. Our information about low mood and depression after a diagnosis of breast cancer has more details about coping with these feelings and how to get more support.

We have a variety of free support services, which may be of interest to you at this time. We have both online and face to face services and there is more information about all of these on the link.

You are welcome to call our helpline if you would like to talk this through or have any further questions.
