Feeling rubbish - anyone else?

Morning.
I am due to have FEC2 next Monday and this week should be a good week but I’m feeling so miserable and nauseaus. Anyone else felt like this? I can’t work out if it’s apprehension for next Monday (what a waste of energy this is), or because my hair is falling out and I generally feel low. My recon boob is also aching this morning and that hasn’t happened before …

Moan over, thanks for listening!!

Rachel.

((((((((HUG))))))))) hope you feel better soon…have you checked ur temp in case you have a bug/infection???

Hi Rachel,

I felt the same at the weekend - have had 3 EC and 1 Taxotere, so just over half way through my chemo. Having been given extra pre-med so that I wasn’t sick and only having mild SE’s after the Taxotere, I thought that I was OK for a few days and then felt rubbish for the last couple of days. I think that I had a cold which was working away in the background, so you may have a bug/infection. I didn’t feel as though I had a cold until I had a couple of strange dry sneezes. I was the same as you scars tingling which I’ve not really had before (had my reconstruction end of Sept).

I’ve also decided that I’ve had a bit of a mental struggle for the last few days, so have forced myself to wrap up and get out in the fresh air today so me and the wig went out (have also been having wig problems recently, but that’s another story), however, the walk has helped a bit for me.

Hope you’re feeling better soon. Hair loss is so distressing for all of us.

I hope you feel better soon. I felt nearly as sick with anxiety before my first FEC as I do after it, but so far so good, nothing I can’t live with though I’d rather not have to. Some people seem to start out ok and then feel worse later, so I may join you soon.

I’ve had more post-op pain this time (WLE, 2 x lymph nodes) than from just a WLE on the other side last time. I’m sure the weather doesn’t help–it’s been so gloomy all day most days that we must all be suffering from a lack of natural light.

Ive just passed my few rubbish days it does get better. I find getting out doors and walking the dogs really helps the sicky feeling. Do hope you feel better soon, dont let it get to you kick it in the goolies and smile back at it.

Thanks ladies. Just taken my temperature (it’s normal) and been out for a wet walk with the dog. Feeling better. With hubby back at work and kids back to school after xmas, and my hair about to go out too, I’m drowning in a bit of self-pity.

My 7 terriers fill my life with joy and that gets rid of all ills. Do you just have the one dog?

And nothing wrong with self pity once in a while.

Glad you’re feeling better
