I am new on here and just had a few questions… When I was 36 I was diagnosed with a benign fibroadenoma. It was the size of a peach pit then. My doctor suggested I just leave it in since it was benign. I am now 39 and it has grown to the size of a lemon!! I went in Wednesday this week and had a mammogram and sonogram… I called today and they told me that they do not have any results for me yet? has anyone else had a fibroadenoma that grew to this size? I am so scared!!

You will get an answer soon, but inevitably, anxiety goes with waiting & the mind does go into overdrive, but thankfully, you are having it checked out.
From what you say, there is no reason why it shouldn’t be the fibroadenoma, however, it may be an idea to post in the ‘ask our nurses’ section.

Thank you so much for responding! I just don’t understand why it has grown so big… The waiting is so hard! I’m okay one minute and the next I’m a wreck.
