Well here i am 8 chemo cycles down the road( Epi/Xeloda ) and will finish the last of the Xeloda pills today Phew! Its a great feeling and am so glad to have it over and done with, just wanted to say to all you ladies who are about to start chemo or haveing chemo right now YOU WILL GET THERE . Thanks to everyone who has helped and supported me through the good and not so good times, there were times when i felt like jacking it all in, but reading all your stories and comments realy helped me find that inner strenth, well i quess its on to the next stage now ive got Rads planning and a CT scan on Feb 4th not sure what to expect so any advice apprieciated girls, especialy re the CT im a bit claustrophobic so a bit anxious about it, Ive been told by onc i will have four and a half weeks rads , then 2 yrs tomoxifin and 3 yrs Arimidex . Have been given the tomoxifin but been told by onc not to start takeing it untill 4 weeks after i finish Xeloda (so a month free of meds), he explained about all the possible side effects urghhhhhhh (does it ever end) can only hope it doesnt affect me too badly, i quess one step at a time eh. Im still so knackered all the time and realy hope it will start to improve now the chemo is over though ive been warned it can take 6 to 12 mths .Ah well hope the worst bit is over . Im not gonna moan today though cos it a brilliant day .
Hope you are all ok
Best wishes to all of you
Lots of Hugs

Hi Lindiloo
All i can say is congratulations and well done to you - you should celebrate this milestone in style
Go on spoil yourself - large glass of wine and huge bar of chocolate - or maybe surf the net and buy something ridiculous and expensive.
Whatever you do - have fun and well done to you, I am very jealous only on 3rd of 4 FEC and then 4 Tax still to go
Be good

COngratulations!!! that is a great feeling, isn’t it??? I walked out of my last Taxol feeling loads lighter, and the side effects were so much easier to take, knowing that it was the LAST one!!!
For me, the tiredness started improving after the cycle was finished (so I did 2 weeks cycles, lets say about 2 weeks after the last volontary poisoning…). Now (about 6 weeks later), I am feeling almost normal, the tingling in my fingers is much much less, and my nails are starting to regrow normally (have 2 dark nails on toes). Also, my hair has been coming in fast and furious since 2-3 weeks, :))) now I look like a 5 o’clock shadow all over… but I expect that by next month I will do without wigs!!! bless the hair.
Huge Congratulations to you,
go and treat yourself to something you know you want to!!!
love Julie xxxx
