Hello can anyone help me please?
I have just had my 2nd Reconstruction DIEP after having a LD 6 years ago following immediate reconstruction diagnosed with BC HER2.
My LD had gone wrong following chemo and radio,had an implant exchange last year but made it worse.told had 3 options Tram,Diep or take it away.What a choice after 6 years of having something.Only 40 and decided on Diep at Salisbury odstock,Mr.Tiernon and Miss Crick performed it and what an excellent job to!Long operation,crap few days but you really do start to feel better once you get up!
However sadly for me I have a ridge above scar which shows with clothes on.Went back yesterday to see Mr.Tiernon.He said it is to do with the Radio and scar tissue from last big procedure.Can you believe it the Radio is still damaging 6 years on! has any one else experienced this ? he said to massage the area and hopefully it will drop down.Or I might have to have another small op! My boss will love that off now for 3 months as ~~I am a chef.Please help xxx
