I just got my appointment letter. The appointment is for Wednesday 25 th November. I’m disappointed by how long it takes, especially as it sounds like lots of people on here get seen within two weeks. I had to wait a week to get a gp appointment, then another 7 weeks from when he sent the referral until my appointment date. I’m trying not to panic but I’m having a few medical issues at the moment so I just wish they could cut out the waiting about and tell me if there is something wrong with me.
Tracy - I agree with the other comments that it’s time to start kicking up a fuss. Hopefully your gp can help you get a quicker appointment
Hi…I phoned the hospital back the next day…I have now to go on 24th Nov…so that’s 5 wks after app they cancelled…I know I’m probably worrying over nothing but I do feel going to ur doc in August and not being seen till Nov is a very long time to leave someone worrying x
Hi Tracy. I was thinking about you today. I hope you got on OK at your appointment. Mine is tomorrow so I’m trying to avoid thinking about it too much. That’s obviously not working very well! Best wishes x
I got good news at my appointment today. My lump was a cyst. They’ve drained the fluid out so it’s now gone. I’m very relieved! They did say it might happen again and actually there was a second small cyst on the scan but it’s nothing to worry about. I’ve just to go back if I ever feel a lump again
