FOR JOANNE Hi

Sorry for delay but have had problems again with internet.

Had a brilliant time in Goa - seems ages ago now!

How are you - you must be about to have baby(or have already in which case you are probably to busy to reply!)

Would love to hear back from you.

Hi

Glad to hear you had a nice time.

Baby is due tomorrow! But wont be here then according to midwife, as head hasnt dropped yet. Bit of a pain as I am bored of waiting now!

Will let you know when he eventually arrives.

Been feeling a bit down the last few days, really missing mum, but is to be expected as its a big event in my life that she isnt here for, and I always imagined that she would be, she would be an amazing granny.

Anyway, trying to stay focused on the happy event - my family are really excited so thats good!

Hi Clare

Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit down, I am sure some of this could be hormonal.

It is only natural to miss our mums at such bit events in our lives. I find myself dwelling on the fact that my mum wont get to see my eldest go to Uni next year. She has done so well but my mum was always so proud of every little thing she done anyway, I feel this is an unconditional support that I sometimes find hard to give as I know I am a bit pushy! She will also miss weddings etc but I suppose over time its is something we will have to get used to - it is still very early days.
Your mum would have made a wonderful granny but remember she may not be around physically but she will always be granny, you will enjoy sharing memories and photos with your children in time. You will be a great mum and this will be down to love, support and life skills that your mum has given you, so in a way she will always be supporting you.
As your children grow there will be events that will remind you of your own childhood and this will bring back happy memories of time spent with your mum that you had long forgotten.
This is a happy and exiciting time and I hope your sadness will pass.Remember your mum is watching you from afar.
Love and best wishes to you. Take care and let me know your news as soon as you get a chance. Sharon

Baby Hiya

So he is finally here! He was 2 weeks late and had to be induced but he arrived last wednesday. He was a whopper, 9lb 6oz! We have named him Aaron James. Came home from the hospital on Friday and am just trying to get settled.

Feel so lonely without my mum, there are so many instances when I dont know what to do and would love to call my mum for advice, and I know that she would be here as much as she could helping me.

Still, I have a beautiful new baby and am very thankful, just sad that nothing works out how it is meant to, my baby should still have his granny who was so so young to be taken from me.

Anyway, I hope all is well with you, just wanted to let you know the news!

CONGRATULATIONS Hi

Fantastic news ! glad you are both ok.

I can only imagine how much you need your mum at the moment. She would have been a lot of support for you I know. However you have a beautiful, healthy little boy and I am really pleased for you.

Unfortunately there will be lots of events that your mum will miss and it is so unfair I know but please look after yourself and dont let your sadness over your mum cloud such a fantastic event, you know she is watching!

I am ok - just had a spell of dreaming of my mum every night - each one was the same her just coming back home as if nothing had happened, looking all healthy and happy. I do wonder if it is her telling me that she is ok and to not worry ? I hope so.

Take care - keep in touch(if you get chance!)
