Hi, I’m 45 and last night I felt a lump in my left breast. :smileysad: I am so scared, in fact that’s an understatement. I have just spoken to a very lovely person on the Helpline, they explained what I should do next but obviously I can’t do anything now until my GP opens on Monday, so I have to cope with this all weekend. I am trying all sorts to take my mind of things but it’s not easy.
Sorry to hear that you are going through this worrying time. If you read the other posts on here, you will see lots of women describe waiting to know what their symptoms mean as very difficult. We all deal with it in different ways; some people talk to family and friends , others need to keep busy - but this forum has been a massive support to me and many other people whilst we wait and I hope it will be for you too.
I know you will be wanting as much information as you can find, but try not to google - there is a lot of misinformation out there. The helpline here is open till 2pm on Saturdays and is a much better source of information that is relevant to you.
Hi I also found a lump yesterday and I will be making an appointment tomorrow! Like you I am scared!! Also I can’t tell my husband as he is up to his eyes in staffing problems and until I know for sure I have to go for further tests I am going to keep it to myself. Nobody else knows.
