Hi there,
On Thursday 31 March , Breast Cancer Care will host an information session on ‘Healthy Eating after a Diagnosis of Breast Cancer’ in Enfield. The session will run from 10am-1pm.
Knowing what to eat during and after treatment for breast cancer can be difficult so in this session we’ll offer tips on how to eat a healthy, balanced diet as well share information on specific aspects of diet and breast cancer.
The speaker will be Barbara Parry MSc RD, Senior Research Dietician at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and as with all our services, this will be free to attend.
If you know anyone who may benefit from knowing about this event, please do help us spread the word.
Please note that all places must be booked in advance. To reserve a place, please call 0345 077 1893 or email movingforward@breastcancercare.org.uk . Clients are welcome to bring friends/family along – they just need to mention who they are bringing at the time of booking. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served throughout the morning.
In addition to this half-day information session, we also running our free Moving Forward Course at Chase Farm Hospital in June and October/November. Taking place over four consecutive Thursday afternoons, the course is designed for people who have finished (or are coming to the end of) their hospital-based treatment for primary breast cancer. The programme provides information, support and professional guidance on a range of topics to help cope with changes, manage uncertainties and establish a ‘new normal’ after treatment.
