Just in case you didn’t know once diagnosed with cancer you can apply for a prescription exemption certificate which lasts for up to 5 years you can get the form from your GP. It is well worth getting this as at my practice I have to get a prescription for all of my dressings and am on drug therapy for 5 years.

although everybody will get free prescriptions here (Scotland) from april 2011 whether you are a cancer patient or just have a sore throat
