i am due to have reconstuction to my right breat in next couple of months and wondered if anyone has had or is having the same…
im having fat,skin and muscle from my tummy and they are making me a new breast, using micro surgery to reconnect the veins and stuff ( amazing what they can do ). its nearly 12 months since i had my mastectomy anyone in the same boat?

Welcome, Im also scheduled for a tram-I had a tentative appt for early Jan this year, but it didnt go ahead. I had my mastectomy in Oct 09 right side too.
I had my appt with the surgeon last Feb, so it’s such a frustrating wait.Im in Scotland and it seems there are long waits in the hospitals 
He thought I was a good candiddate given my expanse of tummy fat!!
Hope you hear soon. There are lots of ladies on here who have had the same op, so Im sure youll hear from them very soon.

Hi… I had pedicled tram flap surgery 13 weeks ago…seems like a lifetime ago already! Am nearly at fec3 so hopefully nearing the end of the dark tunnel. Please feel free to message me with any questions, I went in being really prepared (well as prepared as I could be!), have lots of handy hints so just write down a load of questions if you want and I’ll try and answer them if I can xxxxxx

I was told around aug/sept last year I had a provisional appt, but it was never confirmed by hospital. It was pretty upsetting when I realised late Dec, but not a lot I can do bout it.
It really depends on where you live, as Ive heard others who’ve waited weeks after seeing surgeon, so heres hoping you get a date that suits

I had a free tram flap in Dec 2010 (10 weeks ago). It is a big op. It was 10 hours the first few weeks I felt weak, but can honestly say it is great. My new right breast looks really good, its great to get up and put on an ordinary bra. I have an appt with the Plastic Surgeon in April to discuss uplift on the other side. Hope you get on ok dont hesitate to ask any questions.
