A young woman cancer patient called Kerry Dunn was referred by her Oncologist for Cyberknife treatment. She was told that with treatment she stood a 75% chance of recovery. But despite a number of eminent doctors recommending this treatment, bean counters at her local PCT refused to fund treatment. After an eight week battle her PCT eventually agreed to fund it, but by then her tumour had become too large to be treated with Cyberknife, and her chancer of recovery is now estimated at only 8% (see link to story below).
