thanks for posting everyone! It’s rotten isn’t it? Think I’ll try more regular exfoliating and giving it a bit of timebefore trying something drastic. My friend suggested threading but I’m worried that any hair removal will make it come back thicker. Hadn’t thought about the loss of oestrogen, will ask about this at my next appt.
Hi Another furry face here! I didn’t have chemo but am on tamoxifen so I can only think that for me it is a side effect of tamoxifen. Luckily I’m blond but my tweezers are still working overtime!! xx
Yet another fuzzy face here just finished 6 cycles of chem and 20 radsxx thought i was imagining it looks like downy blonde hair down the sides of my face what should i do with it xx confidence at a all time low as it isxx
Hi
Iam another furry face, its that bad i could of been employed as a mother christmas, not started tamoxifen yet, so it will only get worse. might invest in a cheap lawn mower lol

I had this too as a side effect of Tamoxifen. I was distraught & got as far as investigating laser treatment as I just wanted to hide myself away. But then within a couple of months it just disappeared & has never come back. So hang on in there it may only be a temporary blip.

OMG i had more hair on my face at one time than i did on my head .I think my head has got a bit more on now .Im hoping it calms down and drops off eventually. Feel like i need a shave but daren’t in case it grows back twice as much.Im not having any hormone treatments as I’m tn so it must be the chemo ,i was on ec .
Feel like a man woman at the moment with my short hair and hairy face but I’ve read on here that loads of ladies have this ,my hairdresser confirmed it too .She said in time it will go away its just another crappy thing we all have to go through xx
Furry sideboards here and no eyebrows now where’s the sense in that!!! the hair on my head is growing back thicker than before which is good but the fuzz on the sides of my head is quite a lot, I’ve done chemo and now on tamoxifen, will wait it out before taking drastic action like plucking or shaving it off, how long before it disappears?
Love and light hair to all LOL

I’m afraid to say that mine has got worse the longer I’ve been on tamoxifen (now 2.5 years) but I am also peri menopausal so could be that. Recently seems to have got much worse and I’ve even now had a few black hairs on my chin! OMG!
So what to do? I use the epilady on my chin but on my furry side burns no way, that would be complete torture. Can’t afford laser surgery so any other ideas? Thinking about a cream but find that’s so harsh on the skin.

hi Elinda45
Snap! I do use a hair removal cream but would really like a permanent solution.
Other problems too - all minor, but the hair problem is really causing me a problem.

Yes, me too I’m afraid! Suddenly realised I had all this really long fluff on my jaw line and cheeks and the few dark hairs I had on my chin have now grown into a forest!
I use hair removing cream on my face but it is very harsh and I am hoping I won’t have to do it very often. I use a manual type of epilady thing for my chin and upper lip hairs. It is very depressing

Okaaaaaaaay… does anyone have any information about natural alternatives to Tamoxifen?
