Gene testing

Hi everyone

I had BC last Sept  and had a double mastectomy with immeadiate recon, didn’t need radio or chemotherapy, now on Tamoxifen.

Because of family history I was eventually tested for the BRCA gene which came back negative. They are now testing the TP53 gene to see if that is mutated, Has anyone heard or got this gene?? I’m a little worried and the results are taking forever to come back.

I am so glad I joined this site as I thought I was the only one feeling this way, it’s been a roller coaster of a ride and one I still don’t feel is over.
