I am 32 and do not have cancer but have strong family hitory of ovarian and breast cancer. My gp has finally referred me for genetic counselling but the relatives who had the disease have died and I am unsure if they were tested. What is the likelihood of me being actually tested on nhs for the mutation? And if NHS won’t will private do it? And could I get elective preventative surgery on nhs?
