Hi Mandolinwind
Glad you are back home. Going to stop tomorrow night in our camper van at a campsite 5 miles from the hospital, or else I will need to leave home at 7.30am as I live over 30 miles from the hospital. Richard will stay in the van on monday night to bring me home - hopefully on tuesday!

Hi mandolinwind hope you are feeling better now your lump is gone! That is one step along the road to your recovery. I went through this stage in feb/march had a mastectomy with reconstruction 16th may. told early june that no rads or chemo needed, I am on Tamoxifen for 5 years. I feel great and you will too at the end of your journey. Back in march I never thought that I would ever feel like this again. When I woke up in the early hours and lay awake worrying my self sick over what the future had in store it seemed like to much to ask that the day would come when I woke and thought of something else first. Happily that day has come hope yours comes soon too.
Also good luck to Kharga/Angela hope it all goes well for you too!
take care Diane x
Good luck girls
Love
Tuesday xx
Hi all
Back home already with full shoulder movements!!!
Was a bit of a wuz when they put the wire in as I fainted - luckily the chairs they use go flat very quickly and I came round with my feet in the air and cold towels on my forehead and the back of my neck! Mind you, I was expecting it to be done under ultrasound control but they did it with a mamogram machine. The radiographers said that the majority of women faint!!
Roll on next wednesday when we get the results!
Thanks for all your support.
Angela
hi Kharga glad you are home ,and doing remarkably well,i had a terrible day yesterday,My dear Brother died,he was diagnosed with Myeloma just 1 week before i was diagnosed with this. They said it was a rare form of blood cancer but was treatable. He went to hospital for tests last tuesday, and they kept him in because he wasnt well, they told us he had a chest infection, they then said he had turned a corner and would recover, but sadly next day,(yesterday)got the shocking news, and he died 20 minuets before my 2 sisters could get to him,Dont know what we have done to deserve this, its really set me back,We all loved him so much,he was only 55.Any way good luck to every one,and thanks for everyones support, take care x
Hi Mandolinwind
I am so sorry to hear about your brother.
Keep positive for yourself and don’t let things get you down too much - more easily said than done at the moment.
Good luck for thursday and your results.

Hi Mandolinwind
Fingers crossed for you today.
I am trying to be good at home and not do too much - I am usually on the go all the time, working full time with and hours drive each way, open canoeing, making cards - usually for the Marie Curie cancer care (a bit ironic now) - walking etc. Am going to use my enforced home time to make my Christmas cards!!
