Hi ive recently been diagnosed with idc grade 2 with a previous history of DCIS 2004. In December i was told i had a Ground glass lung nodule and had a follow up CT in march which showed it was completely resolved. However now im waiting for scan staging results im worried this nodule may be linked to my new bc diagnosis. Im probably over thinking it but just a little worried
Hi @susynight
So sorry to hear what you are going through. Yes the waiting is hellish and it is perfectly normal to be anxious, but you sound like you also have a “voice of reason” in your head. It does seem unlikely that a lung secondary would vanish on its own. Everything will seem easier once you have the full picture and a treatment plan. You know from past experience that this horrible disease can be managed very successfully.
Don’t forget that the helpline is there if you need to talk to someone
Wishing you all the best
Sending hugs

Hello Supeal
Thank you for your post.
It’s understandable to be worried when you are waiting for any test or scan results but especially when you have had a previous investigation for a lung nodule.
A benign (non-cancerous) lung nodule can be caused by various factors such as infections or inflammations. Even though you were told this had resolved, it is easy to make connections which only add to the worry of your recent diagnosis of breast cancer.
