Glucosamine sulphate 1500 mg

Can anyone explain above have been told OK to continue taking.
When I check in book about white blood cell counts, it states under things to avoid, shellfish. On checking ingredients of glucosamine the main ingredient is glucosamine sulphate di potassium chloride (from shrimp shells). One contradicts the other.

During chemo you are at risk of infection if your WBC is low hence why people are advised to avoid things such as shellfish which if not fresh could make you poorly. There is not this danger with shrimp shells in the medication.

I started glucosamine tablets 2 months ago and definitely noticing improvement in joint pain and mobility.
