I was diagnosed on the 4th of november. that weekend I went though all the different emotions , but then I became calm and life returned to semi normal.My work friends have been amazing. Appointments started taking place and I felt more in control knowing what was happening. I had my pre op assessment on monday and a MRI on wednesday. My operation is booked for next tuesday. However since my pre op assessment I have gone down with a bad cold and now have no voice. Im sure they are going to delay my Op and have totally gone to pieces. I am seeing my surgeon this afternnon at 4pm . This feels like the longest day!
It’s such a terrible shock isn’t it.
Hopefully your cold will be better by next week, and you’ll be able to have your surgery.

The results of my MRI were good, nothing anywhere else. The surgeon says that i’m to go in on tuesday and then they will decide whether Im well enough. he was quite positive. Resting this weekend and taking medicines to help.
Roll on tuesday. Im back in control again 
lindyloo49, thats very good news, hopefully you will be well for Tues, it’s funny that you seem to go to pieces if anything changes, it’s as you say you feel in control when that control alters in anyway emotions seem to go haywire, so just saying you are not alone in feeling that way, very best of luck to you, take care xx

Well my Op went ahead on the 29th and i was home on the thursday 1st Dec. They would have sent me out the day before but i was sick through the medication! Plus i didnt feel ready to leave. Its been a week now since the Op andI feel ok. A little sore where my dressings are, but they are coming off tomorrow. I will see the surgeon at 3pm when he will tell me the results of what they removed and what my next treatment will be. i have had several visitors who all say i look really well (although some days i dont feel it) I have had a reduction on both sides, so feel a bit like a new person. The downside being I can now see my stomach!!!
I cant wait to be able to sleep on my side instead of my back, but am too sore at the moment.
