I hope you don’t mind me sharing my good news with you all…
This morning, our cat returned home after being missing for 2 and a half weeks, then we found out our youngest daughter has passed her 11+ !! (the cat incidentally is completely black - i.e. good luck!)
This year has been particularly hard on us all, especially the kids and I wasn’t holding out much hope for her to pass - but she’s done it, and now (hopefully) will go to the same school as her sister.
I’m the proudest Mum in the world at the moment !!
Thats lovely news Julie. You must be so relieved. This school malachy is so nerve racking. I went through it last year and my sister is going through it now with her daughter. I think that the cat must have known!

Thanks for your kind comments - she is absolutely over the moon, and so are we. She will be starting there next September - we hope ! They don’t guarantee a place, but as her elder sister goes there already, I can’t see there being a problem.
As for the cat, he’s spent the last 24 hours eating and/or sleeping, I’m presuming he got locked in somewhere as he was very thin, and his miaow has only just come back !

and glad the cat cae back, sounds like he snuck in soewhere he shouldn’t - possibly a garage where they’ve been away on holiday!

So pleased for your daughter. You must be so proud. Well done her. And so empathise your cat. One of ours went missing for 16 and a half days! He was stuck in a house at the end of our terrace. So wonderful when he came back. Long story but the local police were brilliant.
