Good news!

Hello Everyone, I would just like to share some good news. I was dx in Feb08 with Grade3, stage 2b idc chemo, rads and tamoxifen. Nearly two years since then I have had a mammogram and there is no evidence of disease! Hope this helps newbies who are just starting on bc treatment.

Hi all, so happy someone else has good news. I too received results this morning after what seemed like forever. One year mammogram done on Dec 10th results normal. I also had bloods taken same day to check tumor markers[still can’t grasp what they are] as I have pain/discomfort in side of my neck. Results were normal. Its all too often pain suffering and despair when reading posts on these forums, so I do really hope Rachy and I have been able to offer a little hope. take care all kittyx

Yes, thanks for some good news, kitty.

Hi Rachy, Kitty and Sarah, Congratulations all of you. I think we are all a wee bit nervous coming up to mammograms and check-ups etc. But it is a great feeling when your results are good and you can give a sigh of relief again. Hi to everyone else on the thread.

Hi Rachy, Kitty and Sarah

Thanks for posting your good news - it does us all so much good to know that good things are happening.

In February I will be celebrating my 21st…not my birthday but 21 years from original diagnosis! As I will also be celebrating my 60th birthdat in February too, I think that a celebration party is on the cards!

Scottishlass, 21 years from your original diagnosis is a long time. I turn 50 next year and 6 weeks before my birthday I have my 25th wedding anniversary. 5 months later (fingers crossed) I get to the end of the 5 year remission period. As these thing are all to do with the number 5 I like to think perhaps this will be a lucky number for me.

Milestones indeed.
