I’m so relieved to share the news that after what seems like forever, mammograms, ultrasounds, repeat biopsies, lumpectomy with margin clearance- I have been given the all clear. My breast care nurse rang me and said she asked permission of my consultant to ring me rather than have to wait for yet another results appointment. I will get a letter with all of the information but she said my lump was a very unusual looking fibroadenoma. I still have one left so will need check ups to check the growth rate but as it stands, they’re happy to leave it there. Recovering well and returning to work on Friday.
Can I just take this opportunity to thank everyone so much for all of their support over the last few months. It’s amazing how supported you can feel by someone you’ve never met and who have their own struggles.
I will stay on the forum to check how everyone is getting along with treatment and hopefully help reassure new members who are waiting on their biopsy results or awaiting clinic appointments.
Lots of love to everyone, you really are a special bunch of people xxx
Hi what wonderful news. I’m so happy for you.
I’m at the start of my journey as had wle and snb on Wednesday last week. Waiting for results which may or may not be back Monday. I’ve been in to clinic and everything is healing well.
It’s so kind of you to keep in touch and your input will be most appreciated.
Good luck in the future
Sonya xx
Glad to hear you’re healing well Sonya. I’ve had a lot of swelling and bruising but apart from that my incision site is healing well too. Hope your results come back quickly for you. It really is agonising but at least once you have them, you can get a plan of action in place. Will look out for your results and wishing you the best of luck for whatever treatment they determine. Take care. Kay xxx
Thanks Charys yes you’re right those early days of uncertainty are so difficult, scary and confusing. I have taken so much comfort from this forum and hope I can reassure others early on. Wishing you all the best with the rest of your treatment plan and will be keeping an eye out how you’re getting on. Take care. Kay xx
