Had a second biopsy just over two weeks ago. The Dr said I didn’t have cancer but may have pre cancerous cells. I’ve got see a surgeon and it all seems rather quick compared to my two biopsy apps. I’m very worried now, why do I need to see a surgeon and why so quick??

Hi Belaurdan, whilst it is a worry for you at least you are not been left waiting too long.
I think not knowing is the scariest thing and you need to know so bear with it and find out . Whatever the outcome sounds like you have a good service where you live.
My sister on law had same and was told she had precancerous cells. They removed a small amount of tissue and she had one week of radiotherapy and that was that. This was last year and she is fine. She has an annual mammogram check now so they are keeping a good check on her.
If you have pre cancerous cells best they get them out ASAP!. Be positive and trust the Doctors who in my case where magnificent when you hear such terrible stories about hospitals, etc, in the media. You will have a breast care nurse assigned to you and you can call her anytime or call the nurses on this site. Don’t google on your condition as some very outdated and unhelpful information out there, use this site or the Mac Millan one.
Everyone’s breast cancer is different and sounds like you have been picked up early so that will be good I am sure. Once you know what is going on you will feel more in control. Best wishes Katy.
