Got diagnosis yesterday

Got a phone call 2 weeks ago to say the had done an audit and wanted to review my case (had a mammogram and ultra sound 11 months previously), not too worried made the appointment for the following week, but the next knight as I was getting ready for work it came on the news that 24 women had been recalled out of 500, due to protocol not being followed. at this point I felt a bit panicky. Went the following week for a scan needle biopsy and two core biopsy And yesterday got told I had cancer in the right breast. I had originally gone with a lump in my left breast so when I had the scan following the mammogram I was overly concerned that he only scanned the left. Turns out the something had shown up on the mammogram in the right breast and cysts in the left. Have been informed now that it clearly stated for him to scan BOTH the left and right, which he didnt. Needless to say he doesn’t work for the trust now and is going in from of the General Medical Board. really worried as something was there 11 months ago. Am having op on Wed.
