When I finished my radiotherapy treatment last year i decided that it would be good to do some fundraising. after much thought (and wine) I settled on getting fit and taking part in the great north run this October (2 days before my 50th birthday). I have never done any great amount of running so this will certainly be a challenge. I am hoping to find someone to stagger round with on the day, it would be great if they were also running for breast cancer care. So if anyone out there is looking for a running mate then please get in touch.

I am interested but very unfit! What does it entail? Is it that half marathon one? Is it Newcastle? I live near Haltwhistle, the centre point between west and east coast. I need some incentive to get fit but am worried I wont make it, don’t want to let anyone down. Let me know more detail and we’ll chat!

ps before BC and many moons ago I use to run 9 miles a day and orienteer cross counrty, but that was in my other life!
