Growth of tumour

Hi lovely ladies.I don’t know if anyone can offer me any advice? I havea stage 2 breast tumour that measures 4.5cm.My lymphnodes are clear. My chemo starts on 20th of Feb.I can feel the lump getting bigger and harder. The nurses do not seemed concerned about what i am saying as it might be bruising or scar tissue.I am getting growingly concerned and upset. Also if you do not start chemo for 3 weeks after lymphnode biopsy could the cancer pass through while I am waiting ? very confused ?

Hi

Have you had surgery yet to remove the lump?

Hi, its all so worrying isn’t it, but I don’t think that the cancer would spread in the time before you start chemo. In most cases surgery, chemo doesnt start until about 4 weeks after diagnosis. I was diagnosed in the September and had my surgery end of October then chemo about 4 weeks after. I remember after my biopsy I was convinced that the lump was bigger but it was swelling from the biopsie’s. It’s great that your nodes seem clear :smileyhappy: Maybe ask the nurses on here I’m sure they would help. Good luck xx
