Had my appt y'day...

Forgive me if I am wrong, and tell me to mind my own business by all means, but I think you are getting confused between stage and grade, although I can quite understand if you don’t care a jot at the moment.

Grade 1, which I suspect is what your surgeon told you, means it is not an aggressive form. They can tell this from the biopsy. This is good.

Stage 1, which is also good, generally means it is a small tumour and has not spread to the lymph nodes, or anywhere else as far as they can tell. They need to test the lymph nodes to know this, so I doubt your surgeon knows that yet.

I hope you don’t have to wait long for the MRI scan. Best of luck, and please let us know how it goes.

We are all here for you.

Arggh I can’t remember which one it was…whoever told me to wrote things down was so right, I intended to but when he told me I just couldn’t really think properly!

Yes I guess I will find out soon enought whether it was stage/grade. xxxxxx

Don’t fret about it, either one is good, if anything to do with this can be good!

Be aware that the MRI scan can show things up which look suspicious but, if biopsied, turn out to be clear. I had that experience, so try not to jump to conclusions before you actually get the facts - hard I know. The consultant I saw told me that the other lesion they found on the MRI scan was 90% likely to be cancerous, but I asked for it to be biopsied and it was clear.

Just had my first radiotherapy treatment today. They then rang and said the machine had broken down. Great start!
