Hair DNA testing

I’ve just had hair testing done and showed interesting results lack vit b, def zinc, magnesium iodine and food sensitivities I didn’t know I had as wheat and dairy sensitive.
Does anyone else know how accurate is ? Difficulty is what to do with information?

I seem to remember reading a report where the investigators sent their hair to different places to be tested and they all came back with different results.

I do not think that this means a good lab cannot accurately test hair. Maybe one lab was good and had the correct results and the others less accurate.

I also read that some practitioners take the money for the test and just guess what the results might be. Its quite easy to mock up a lab report.–but I am sure your practitioner would not do that.

I think its quite common with the weston price to get your hair tested before you try to conceive, I could ask them for reputable labs, or you could google your lab and see what info you can find.

Having said that the deficiencies you mention are really common. And it would do no harm to top these elements up. It is tempting to just take lots of vitamin tablets, but its a bit harder than that, because our bodies can find the absorption difficult. Here is a link talking about different supplements.

you need to know–how deficient and according to which scale? they change the goalposts all the time. If its just a bit down, then concentrating on foods rich in these things would be good enough.

sensitive to wheat and dairy-mmmm. I developed a really bad wheat problem about 10 years ago. The dietician said you have the intolerance all your life and your body copes, but then suddenly a emotional or medical incident weakens your system and it cannot fight it any more. You have been fine eating sandwiches everyday, and suddenly just a crumb makes you so ill you have to go to bed.

I dont know if you have had the hair test done to solve some particular problem and if you are self medicating or working with a practitioner.

In the past if I felt the need to try alternative medicine i always went to the expense of having an initial appointment with two and then going with the one that felt more in tune with me.

mmm this was a bit of a ramble, hope some of it made sense and is relevant to you.
