Hi
I am on CMF for a recurrence of BC. I was told I wouldn’t lose my hair but it would thin. I’ve had 6 of the 12 treatments and I am alarmed at how much my hair has thinned, at this rate I will need to cover up with a wig or scarves before very long.
Has anyone else experienced hair loss on CMF?

I had Epi then CMF lost hair on Epi but started growing back on CMF was told before CMF that I wouldn’t lose my hair on this one (Not exactly comforting as I was already bald at this point!!!) I did get thinning eyebrows on CMF though but quite liked that looked as though I had plucked them when I never had

Katie I had epi-cmf too previously and shaved my head when my hair started falling out after first epi… But it did start growing back in slowly and by the end of Chemo I had very very short very fine hair… Like a cap about a couple of mm long… So it was really slow and soon as I was finished it grew in pretty quickly.
My eyebrows thinned but didn’t lose them but did lose all my eyelashes after th first cmf but that could have been the time it took for the 4 epi to have an effec on them.
I’m on carbo&tax for a recurrence and was told tax very likely to lose hair but I know some who have fec-t find their hair starts growing back on the tax… However I lost about 75% of my hair after the first tax and then I’m down to about 5% of it left at the mo and had three lots so far.
So I think be prepared to lose it all but it may just thin and not o completely… I still got a wig as it’s bloody old out there and what hair I have is very short, fine and wispy.
