Well ladies i am now day 17 after first chemo and today i could stuff a pillow with the amount of hair i lost this morning so this afternoon i am having it all cut off - good job i have my many scarves ready xx
Hi my hair has decided to start falling out today only 12 days after first chemo. So tomorrow it’s all coming off cant cope with losing it in stages xxx
Having mine shaved off (number 2 buzz cut) when it started to fall out was just the best decision I made. I had my wig already, so took that to the hairdresser, and when she’d shorn me she showed me how to wear it and trimmed the fringe for me. All the other customers were so friendly and complimentary that I left the place on a real high. SO much better that leaving that awful trail of hair through the rooms. Yuck - I’ve always hated loose hair. It does take getting used to seeing yourself without hair, but now 3 and a half months later when it’s starting to grow back, having the fuzz seems the odd bit!
