Hair today gone tommow.

Hello ladies had a rubbish morning my hair has started to come out. Have been crying all day on and off. No matter how much you prepare for it it’s quite shock still. I was not very well yesterday had to phone chemo unit. I was told I am not drinking enough water. ? I will be having my second chemo next Thursday . So not looking forward to it.

Aww Sue, that’s horrible :frowning: Mine started to shed about the same time after first dose, just had 3rd and I’ve just got a fine covering although look bald!
Drinking enough water is a challenge especially when you’re feeling rough. This time I’m drinking it with pineapple juice chasers to get rid of the water taste!!
Good luck for next Tuesday xxx

Thank you I hate all this. I am going to Norfolk after my next chemo at the end of March. My daughter wants to take me away for a few days. She is so good. X X X

Ah that’s nice to have something to look forward to, your daughter sounds lovely - hope you have a good time  xxx

Hello Daisy63

I haven’t posted before but have been reading the forum as I started on Feb 23rd and have no-one to share notes with. Your posts usually make me smile so I am sorry to hear you have had a bad day and been upset. Stay strong, I’m dreading the shed, but have a lovely wig on standby, can I ask what day you are on please?

Hi Tulily, my hair started to shed on day 14 after FEC1 and I went to have it cropped to a grade 3. Started to wear sleep caps and headscarves indoor from then onwards and my wig when I go out. Hated the wig to begin with, but I’m used to it now - even more so since I bought proper shampoo and styling products or it (Dimoles from Simply Wigs online) It looks way more natural now
As for headscarves, I have a selection from Anna Bandana (online) plus a shop called Sea Salt (they’re also online too) sell Handy Bands, which are now my favourite - so comfortable to wear. They can be used a scarves, headbands or headscarves, not specifically for hairloss, so wil be great for when this is all over too!!
Hopefully you’ve found the Feb 2016 chemo starters thread in here for support too  I’m a Jan 2016 starter - any questions - we’re a friendly bunch too
Take care xxx

Daisy I think I am five days behind you in this process. In answer to your question, no I haven’t suffered with that problem, however, I am sure I have seen this mentioned somewhere else before so it’s probably another (not very welcome) ‘added bonus’. Hope you have a lovely meal and enjoy the show, I too am a hungry hippo this week!

Sue - yes!! Oh my word - only lasts a few days, but I could clear buildings!! ? Xx
