hand pain due to Anastrozole

Hi, I’ve been taking Anastrozole for 2 years and am getting pains in my hands and feet.  Does anyone else have the same experience?

As I’ve read that cancer is an inflamatory disease, I’ve started taking Lambert’s Turmeric tables, a natural anti-inflamatory product.  It did help initially, reduced stiffness in my hands and fingers, but as time goes on, my hands are getting progressively worse and now I also have pains in my feet! great fun!

Any other advice?

Elaine

Hi hannahbanana2

I’m sorry you haven’t had any replies yet.  I’ve attached a link to our publication on anastrozole which might help:

You might also get more response if you post in the "Going through treatment/hormone therapy " section of the forum.  I’ve attached a link:

Very best wishes

Hello Elaine ,yes I take anastrazole and suffer from pain in my feet and hands, I looked online and it is a side effect from the medication . I went to the doctor and he gave me gabupentin as I also have nerve damage in my shoulder that’s very painful ( basically can’t lift my right arm ) due to surgery . Anyway it seemed to help with the pain in my feet as well , it’s still there but not as often . Hope it improves for you

Yes, I have had the same problem. It is particularly bad in the mornings and then fades away.
