Dear All

After having further progression of liver mets desptie taxol and avastin combo, I’ve been trying to find out where in the uk they do SIRT, selective internal radiation therapy. And if it is available on the NHS.

It appears that SIRT is yet another cancer treatment that is subject to the postcode lottery, and Suzanne Lloyd has been trying to challenge her local PCT. Her medical team say it’s her only chance - but PCT say not enough evidence to justify funding at time of limited resources etc, Apparently she has now raised the funds for her treatment, but has vowed to keep the fight going.

Suzanne is quite an astute lady, so she should be able to point you in the right direction.
You could also look into Cyberknife and TomoTherapy for your liver mets.
