Hats for hairloss

Can anyone recommend a website for hats/bandanas etc particularly suitable for hairloss from chemotherapy. Most of the sites I have found are from the USA. I am starting chemo in 10 days time and would like to order one or two hats quite quickly as I have been told my hair will definitely fall out.

Hello Helbel

My favourite hats came from Headcovers which is a US site but the stuff I bought from them arrived on my doorstep in about 5 days. Their hats are specially designed for chemo patients and cover the whole of the head rather than just sitting on top. You will probably find that your head is cold and also at first a bit sore when your hair falls out so you’ll need something soft as well as warm. I got a lovely soft terry cotton cap from Headcovers - called a sleepcap - but I wore it in the daytime around the house.
I also got some lovely soft Indian cotton scarves from The India Shop. Both of these shops are online but as you know we can’t post website addresses here. However you can find them by Googling.

Good luck and very best wishes

You could also try Buffs - Google for their website. I found them particularly good for wearing around the house and sleeping in as my head got very cold at night.

its def worth ordering from headcovers. your hair prob won’t fall out immediately - mine took 2 weeks after chemo started - plenty of time for delivery, and they are really prompt. x

I have used a uk based company whose service was very good too - they are called hats 4 heads - google to find the website.

I have two lovely batik headcovers from Bohemia Fashions which I have worn throughout chemo - they have lots of different colours.

Thank you so much for the suggestions - I have had a quick look at the websites and there looks to be some great headwear out there. I’m actually looking forward to choosing some. This has really cheered me up. xxx
