I got a fantastic hat from next and one just from a cheap shop.I wore a hat with a peak on and the hat covered the whole of my head. You wouldn’t believe how many people said i looked great in it .Im 43 (just) lol but i saw an older ladie in one and it really suited her too.
I bought some from special websites and hated them .On windy days i just wore a bobble hat or if your daring one of the hats with faces on .Loved them as people didn’t feel so sorry for me the face on them made everyone smile xx

My lovely girlfriends took me hat shopping - we had a fun day, all of us trying on hats. The only odd thing was going into the changing rooms to try them on (to prevent embarrassment if my wig came off or got staticy lol). Yesterday I got told I looked really trendy in a black peak capped hat with a lovely sequin flower! At age 40 I was quite flattered.
Have fun, make a day of it and enjoy.xxx

Don’t think they mind us posting sites that are relevant to BC.

For good value, try hats4heads.co.uk/

Hi girls, I have started making hats, all out of recycable material, each one is different and they are for sale a lot cheaper than on the big sites, we just cover our costs and then contribute towards BCC on every sale. trusuheadwear.co.uk.

I love the ones we have made and have about 3 different ones that I wear all the time.

Trudi

Fabulous Trudi, just the kind of hat I’ve been looking for.

Placed an order for … The popular Grey Tablecloth Hat 2

Looking forward to receiving it.

Good luck with your website.

Thanks, x

For simple cotton beanies try annabandana.co.uk. I got some nice cashmere beanies, which don’t scratch your bald head from ilovecashmere.co.uk. happy shopping!

thanks everyone, your recommendations have been great…

There’s this online store set up by an Aussie woman (www.bebonnie.com.au)) who makes hats from her home and designs them just for people who have lost their hair. The one I got is made from really nice comfy fabric, I got a plain beanie/cap for everyday wear but there are also some more detailed/fashionable designs… definitely worth looking into if you like hats  x
