Have had a routine mammogram and recalled for another in 6 months as they found changes in the right breast, am now worried as i realised that my right breast seems to have chnged shape and has become lower than the other one and the nipple seems to pointing towards the left breast i thought the chnges were to do with getting older
should i wait for the 6 months
It is good that changes have been picked up with a mammo. I think we know our own bodies best and if you are not happy I would go straight to your GP who can refer you to the breast clinic. 6 months is a long time to worry! I noticed changes happening in my breast and went to GP. The lump was difficult to detect as it was deep behind the nipple. I hadn’t had a mammogram until that point as I am 49. Any changes should be looked at. It’s a scary old business but better to get it investigated now rather than later. Good luck. x
Hi Bleckyboy,
Definitely DO NOT wait for 6 months. I did and it’s my biggest regret. My nipple started pointing sideways too but I waited months for my next mammogram. By the time my cancer was diagnosed it had spread through multiple lymph nodes, worsening my prognosis and requiring more aggressive treatment. I still wake in the night and wish I could turn back the clock.
Besides, if it turns out to be nothing to worry about you can relax and enjoy the summer!
Best of luck and my fingers are crossed for you.

Hi sorry to hear you are going through a worrying time right now, I went to doctors last week my left breast felt different, doctor found a lump, i am worried too as there in BC in family, going to hospital on Tues not sure what to expect, was with mu mum when she went and discovered she had BC so i know how i felt for her then, still cant stop thinking have i got BC too.
It is very good that changes have been picked up with a mammogram. I think that pull is not necessary. Proiti need a more complete survey and find out what really happens to your chest.
