Have just been given an appointment date Hi
I visited my GP last Friday as I was concerned about a lump and changes to my RB. She confirmed the lump etc and advised that she would be referring me asap. I was so pleased to have a date for next Wednesday - it’s a Rapid Access Unit which does all the scans and biopsies at the same appointment.

I’m feeling anxious and nervous. I’ve only recently fully recovered from an op for removal of an ovary and fallopian tube.

Never mind I WILL BE POSITIVE.

As you can see by reading others messages everyone here has been through the waiting game and know exactly what your feeling at the moment. You will get loads of support through this forum!

all i can say is it is good to have a one stop shop so that they will do all in one day and you will know what is what.
i had to wait a week for my results.

i do hope all goes well for you.

I am in a similar position to you. I have been posting on this site for the last two weeks and as you will see from my posts and profile I went to the GP on the 2/5/07- went to the breast clinic yesterday and am being sent an appointment for an ultrasound in the post 2-3 weeks then another outpatient appointment the week after.

I am really pleased for you that you have a one stop system in your area but unfortunately in mine it is not fully up and running so the wait continues.

You will see from my previous posts that I have been v worried and my mind has been all over the place but on a positive note the Dr. examined me yesterday feels it is likely to be a fibrous lump but I won’t believe it until all the results are in.

I hope you find this site helpful, I have found the support from the women replying invaluable

good luck So glad that you have one stop service it takes some of the hassle out of it all but can imagine how hard it is having only just recovered from surgery,isnt it odd how some folk get through life with no probs and the likes of us get it all ,keep us informed we really do care here .

What a lovely bunch you all are. Warped I know, but I seem obsessed and fascinated with my lump - you know, has it gone, has it changed shape etc…

Roll on Wednesday so at least I’ll have some idea what’s going on.

The ladies that support you here are second to none. I don’t know if you have read any of my posts over the last two weeks but you will see that I have been all over the shop.

I had my aapointment at the breast clinic last Tuesday but unfortunately they do not offer the one stop so going for ultrasound on the 12th June than back to the clinic to see the consultant on the 20th.

I know that once I had the date I felt a whole lot better as it won’t change anything but your feelings are completely normal.

I too keep feeling my lump. Don’t know why

I have only just read your message, spend most of my time on the ‘undergoing treatment’ pages now and hadn’t looked at this one for a week. I’m prob too late now as your appt is today, but I wanted to wish you well and let you know that we will all be thinking of you at this very difficult time. I too was seen at a rapid access unit, and although I didn’t get the good news I wanted I was relieved that there was minimal waiting around.

All the best to you and I’m sure I speak for all of us on this website when I say I really hope the news for you is good.
